Get to know Abi Johnson
I’m 20 years old and proud to call Edmonton home. Growing up on a farm in Central Alberta, I was always involved in my community and church, while staying active in sports and music. 4-H was a major part of my life, where I served as Secretary and President of my local club, and later as District President.
At 18, I earned my Business diploma from Red Deer Polytechnic, where I also served as Vice President of the Conservative Club. After graduation, I spent a year studying abroad for Bible School, broadening my perspective through international study and community life.
In Edmonton, I now work with Alberta’s Ministry of Health as an ARTS Coordinator and Executive Assistant, supporting the work of Premier Danielle Smith and her team. I’m passionate about serving my community and helping build a strong future for Edmonton and our province.
Why Am I Running?
Politics shapes our communities and our future, and it’s something we should never take for granted. I love this province and want to see it thrive—stronger, freer, and full of opportunity for the next generation.
I have a heart for youth and believe they are key to Alberta’s future. I want to encourage young people to get involved, own their beliefs, and stand boldly for conservative values, helping build a principled and passionate generation ready to lead.
Too often, people assume someone else will step up—but I’m ready to dedicate my energy, leadership, and commitment to this work. Serving as Edmonton Director isn’t just a position; it’s a chance to give back, work alongside like-minded leaders, and strengthen the conservative movement for years to come.
As Edmund Burke said, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” I don’t want to stand by—I want to step forward and make a difference.
